About FiveTen-K™ IV solutions
What does 510(K) mean for you and your patients?
The brand name “FiveTen-K” has special significance. All of the items in this product line have been granted 510(K) medical device clearance by the FDA, demonstrating safety and efficacy at or above the predicate product. The 510(K) clearance is not required for these types of devices labeled for veterinary use. Therefore, some other brands of fluid administration and IV access products in our market do not carry the 510(K) clearance. Products that do not have the 510(K) clearance may not meet the FDA’s stringent performance and quality standards.
