As a small part of our overall business, orders less than $100 represent disproportionate labor and shipping costs for both distributors and customers. Our handling fee policy (effective February 1, 2018) is in place to help offset these costs. Whether placing orders by phone or online, you will be alerted should your order value total to less than $100 so that you can modify your order accordingly to avoid incurring the fee.

Orders above $100 = No handling fee:

• Order value includes MWI-shipped items and manufacturer-shipped agency & diet products
• Order value includes MWI shipments from multiple distribution centers
• Order value excludes items on backorder
• Orders which are considered “standalone” toward the $100 minimum:
  • Special order items
  • Orders shipped to multiple addresses (each address is calculated separately)

Orders below $100 = $8 handling fee, with the exclusion of: 

• Released backorders 
• Manufacturer-shipped agency products and diets
• Manufacturer drop-shipped orders, however, may have added shipping fee

Other fees that may still apply in addition to the $8 handling fee:

• Hazardous shipping fees
• Expedited shipping fees
